Baseball Game Preview: San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots vs. Lubbock Christian Eagles

San Jacinto Christian Academy is 2-8 against Lubbock Christian since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. San Jacinto Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

San Jacinto Christian Academy had taken Tulia down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end last Tuesday. The Patriots took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets.

Sy Potter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Meanwhile, Lubbock Christian made easy work of Midland Classical Academy on Tuesday and carried off an 8-2 victory.

Lubbock Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-15 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for San Jacinto Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

San Jacinto Christian Academy beat Lubbock Christian 8-4 in their previous meeting back in February. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
