Football Recap: Woodmont Wildcats vs. Pendleton Bulldogs
On Friday, the Woodmont Wildcats didn't have too much trouble with the Pendleton Bulldogs at home as they won 34-19.
Despite the loss, Pendleton still got an impressive performance from Abijah Webb, who picked up 143 receiving yards, and also punched in two rushing scores. Webb's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 109 receiving yards dating back to last season. Jace Grass also helped out by tossing the rock for 252 yards.
The win got Woodmont back to even at 1-1. As for Pendleton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodmont will head out to take on Woodruff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodruff will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Woodmont surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pendleton, they are on the road again on Friday to play Powdersville. Pendleton is facing Powdersville at the right time seeing as Powdersville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
