Summers County and Liberty are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bobcats will welcome the Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Summers County fell victim to Greenbrier East and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 10-0. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Summers County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Boone, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Boone hit this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against Wyoming East on Thursday and fell 7-4. The Raiders have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Liberty now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Summers County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Everything went Summers County's way against Liberty when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Summers County made off with an 11-0 win. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
