South Williamsport scaled the state rankings by moving to 197 from 259 this week, the biggest jump in Heartland III. The Mountaineers were able to move up by beating Wellsboro 42-28.

Southern Columbia Area extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bloomsburg, 49-14. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Tigers.

The Panthers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ricky Klingerman threw for 171 and 2 touchdowns and Colby Klingerman had 122 yards receiving. On the ground Sam Miller chipped in 26 yards. Zach Ashford helped Bloomsburg's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 43 yards.

Miller was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 26 yards on 5 carries as Bloomsburg lost to Southern Columbia Area. Teammate Hunter Thomas added to the ground attack by rushing for 14 yards.

Mike Kogut's team's Klingerman and Klingerman have formed a dream team this season, leading Heartland III in both passing and receiving yards. Klingerman has thrown for 1,847 yards this season, while Klingerman has 68 catches for 839 yards. Muncy's Dakota Nixon leads the league in rushing yards with 547.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Southern Columbia Area takes on second place South Williamsport. The Tigers defeated the Panthers last week, while South Williamsport topped the Hornets.

Southern Columbia Area took down Bloomsburg 49-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
