Softball Recap: Southwood Takes a Loss

Southwood managed to slip by North Miami the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights lost 13-0 to the Warriors on Friday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Southwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Lambert, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Lambert has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Southwood and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for North Miami, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Southwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-4 loss against Hilltop on the 10th. As for North Miami, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Central Noble on the 12th.
