The North Brunswick Scorpions will head out on the road to square off against the Swansboro Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Brunswick is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Swansboro will be up against a hot North Brunswick team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. North Brunswick walked away with an 11-6 victory over Gray's Creek on Monday.

Jonah Campbell and Fisher Goodwin did most of the damage at the plate: Campbell scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Goodwin went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Ryan Grisso was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

North Brunswick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Swansboro lost 10-1 to Ashley on Tuesday.

Swansboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Till, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

North Brunswick's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Swansboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

North Brunswick came out on top in a nail-biter against Swansboro in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Brunswick since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
