Baseball Game Preview: Gladewater Bears vs. Troup Tigers

The Gladewater Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Troup Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gladewater's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Troup's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Gladewater blew Chapel Hill out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Chapel Hill got their revenge. Gladewater fell just short of Chapel Hill by a score of 5-3.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Troup made sure to put some runs up on the board against New Summerfield on Friday. Troup never let New Summerfield get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Troup's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Gladewater, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-4.

Gladewater might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Troup in their previous matchup back in March of 2019. Can Gladewater avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
