Hazleton Area managed to keep up with Dallas until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cougars came up short against the Mountaineers, falling 4-1. Hazleton Area just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Ruby Myers, who's now up to four this season.

Hazleton Area's loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Dallas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7-1.

Hazleton Area has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Pittston on the 16th. As for Dallas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Crestwood on the 17th.
