St. Mary Catholic Central dropped their record down to 14-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins. They fell 7-2 to the Flat Rock Rams. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Falcons/Kestrels couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Flat Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-16 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games.

For Flat Rock's part, Vanessa Neace spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. Neace has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Addi Kopp was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last 13 matchups. Another player making a difference was Ashlin Woodman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Coming up, St. Mary Catholic Central will venture away from home to square off against Grosse Ile at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons/Kestrels are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Flat Rock, they will host Jefferson at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
