Basketball Recap: Curwensville Beats Williamsburg for Their Second Straight Victory

Williamsburg came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Curwensville, but Davis Fleming wouldn't allow it. The Curwensville Golden Tide walked away with a 75-68 victory over the Williamsburg Blue Pirates on Monday thanks in part to Fleming, who dropped a double-double on 43 points and ten boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Curwensville's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler English, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 boards. Those 17 rebounds gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Curwensville and bumps their season record up to 4-6. As for Williamsburg, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-5.

Curwensville will face off against Mount Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Williamsburg, they will challenge Harmony Area at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
