Waterloo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .605 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Memorial made sure to put some runs up on the board against Leetonia on Tuesday. The Red Devils were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Bears.
Ramani Adams made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Adams was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Memorial let Mileesa Williams and Gianna Tovarnak run wild. Williams went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Tovarnak went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those two runs gave Tovarnak a new career-high.
Waterloo's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Memorial, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Memorial's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Waterloo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .474. It's a different story for Memorial, though, as they've only averaged .226. Will they be able to contain Waterloo's hitters?
Everything went Waterloo's way against Memorial in their previous meeting on Wednesday, as Waterloo made off with a 26-5 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
