Flatirons Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Bison, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Flatirons Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Dayspring Christian Academy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-23.

Flatirons Academy's offense was headlined by Claire Friedman and Brylin Gomer, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Lexi Richman and her 29 assists. Tessa Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Flatirons Academy's record now sits at 20-1. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Coming up, Flatirons Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Belleview Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will challenge Haxtun at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
