Volleyball Recap: Oakfield Starts Season with Victory at Home

Oakfield took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They skirted past the North Fond du Lac Orioles 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Oaks have posted since September 28, 2024.

Oakfield was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 9-15.

Leading Oakfield to victory were Lily Collien and Hayden Collien. Lily had 15 digs and two assists, while Hayden had five digs and two aces.

North Fond du Lac dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Oakfield has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Dominican on the 26th. As for North Fond du Lac, they will head out to take on Kiel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
