Softball Recap: Teaneck Takes a Loss

Teaneck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to the Fair Lawn Cutters.

Teaneck saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MonaLisa Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Teaneck's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Fair Lawn, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Teaneck and Fair Lawn could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Highwaymen will take on NV - Demarest at 4:15 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (257 vs. 127). Meanwhile, Fair Lawn (ranked 95th) will meet Immaculate Heart Academy (ranked 24th) at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
