Baseball Game Preview: Eatonville Cruisers vs. Lakes Lancers

The Eatonville Cruisers will venture away from home to challenge the Lakes Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Eatonville has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eatonville lost 16-6 to Fife on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cruisers in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost nine in a row.

Ethan Evans was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Colton Herbrand was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Timberline.

Tate Sherman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Eatonville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Eatonville couldn't quite get it done against Lakes when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-0. Can the Cruisers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
