Basketball Game Preview: Abbeville Panthers vs. Whitmire Wolverines

The Abbeville Panthers will challenge the Whitmire Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abbeville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Whitmire likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Abbeville didn't have too much trouble with Belton-Honea Path as they won 72-53.

Meanwhile, Whitmire played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 69-24 loss at the hands of GREEN Upstate. The Wolverines were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-9.

Abbeville pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.8 points. As for Whitmire, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Abbeville against Whitmire in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 91-18 win. In that match, Abbeville amassed a halftime lead of 61-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
