Volleyball Recap: Comsewogue Takes a Loss

Comsewogue lost against Smithtown West back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to Smithtown West.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-6, 25-20.

Smithtown West can attribute much of their success to Nicole Zarcone, who had 11 digs and four aces. Zarcone has been hot recently, having posted four or more aces the last three times she's played. Alexandra Dedonato also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Comsewogue's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Smithtown West, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Comsewogue will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hauppauge at 4:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Smithtown West, they are taking a road trip to square off against Centereach at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
