Basketball Recap: Panorama Takes a Loss

Panorama was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-31 loss at the hands of Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center are ranked 58th).

Panorama's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Panorama Panthers challenge the Madrid Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Madrid's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 games. As for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, they will head out on the road to challenge Clarinda at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Clarinda likes a good challenge.
