Yerington and North Tahoe are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2022, but not for long. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Lakers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Yerington comes in on 17 and North Tahoe on seven.

On Saturday, Yerington made easy work of Battle Mountain and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Yerington took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-6, 25-6.

Meanwhile, North Tahoe got the win against Sierra Lutheran on Friday by a conclusive 3-0.

While North Tahoe won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-24, 25-17.

North Tahoe's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Yerington, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.

Everything went Yerington's way against North Tahoe in their previous meeting back in September, as Yerington made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
