The West Monona Spartans fell just short of the Lawton-Bronson Eagles by a score of 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Spartans have suffered against the Eagles since January 15, 2016.

West Monona's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Lawton-Bronson, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.

West Monona will face off against Woodbury Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawton-Bronson has already played their next match (against Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
