Basketball Recap: Douglas Triumphs

Douglas lost to Elmira back in January of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Trojans rang in the new year with a 56-48 victory over the Falcons.

Douglas can attribute much of their success to Levi Dahlenburg, who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Dahlenburg a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (80%).

Douglas' win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Elmira, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cascade Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elmira, they will take on East Linn Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
