Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Bennett Konkey and Ben Peterson Lead Geneva to Victory

There's no place like home for Geneva, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the St. Charles East Fighting Saints on Friday as they made off with a 45-20 victory. Considering the Vikings have won three games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Geneva's win came down to the chemistry between Ben Peterson and his top target Bennett Konkey. Peterson threw for 284 yards and four touchdowns while Konkey picked up 152 receiving yards and four scores. Geneva is undefeated when Peterson posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 0-5 otherwise.

Geneva moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for St. Charles East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

As of now, neither Geneva nor the Fighting Saints have any future games scheduled.
