Baseball Recap: Valliant Takes a Loss

Valliant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Idabel Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Warriors since March 8, 2022.

Valliant saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Auzy Trapp, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Valliant's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Idabel, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valliant will challenge Atoka at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Idabel, they will square off against Hilldale at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
