Softball Game Preview: Fort Mill Yellow Jackets vs. Clover Blue Eagles

The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets will face off against the Clover Blue Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Mill hasn't scored more than two runs for six games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Friday just wasn't the day for Fort Mill's offense. They came up short against Catawba Ridge on Friday, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Yellow Jackets were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clover). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Rock Hill on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Clover is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Fort Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
