Softball Recap: Villa Park Comes Up Short

Villa Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the El Dorado Golden Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Villa Park's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for El Dorado, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Villa Park will square off against Sunny Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunny Hills' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Villa Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for El Dorado, they will challenge Foothill at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
