Potomac Falls picks up 14th straight win on the road

The Potomac Falls Panthers stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Riverside as Potomac Falls made off with a 68-48 win. Potomac Falls' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Colby Margenau continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Johnny Opiola was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, Riverside saw an underclassman step up: Mason Ridgeway scored 20 points along with three steals. Ridgeway is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Crissman, who scored 11 points.

Potomac Falls' victory was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.07 points. As for Riverside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potomac Falls will challenge Briar Woods at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Briar Woods will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Potomac Falls is ranked 14th). As for Riverside, they will head out on the road to take on Lightridge at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
