Recap: Sycamore Aviators vs. Oak Hills Highlanders
It was a good run, but the Sycamore Aviators unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Oak Hills by a score of 35-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sycamore has scored all season.
Oak Hills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Keeton, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Keeton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Trenton Murphy, who scored six points along with three steals.
Sycamore's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2. As for Oak Hills, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.
Sycamore will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Princeton at 7:30 p.m. Princeton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Sycamore is ranked sixth). As for Oak Hills, they will head out on the road to square off against Lakota West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakota West and Oak Hills are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
