Softball Game Preview: Rapides Mustangs vs. Georgetown Bulldogs

The Rapides Mustangs will face off against the Georgetown Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Georgetown took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Rapides, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Rapides got the win against Peabody by a conclusive 19-4. The Mustangs have beaten the Warhorses the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warhorses has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Georgetown had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against Northwood on Tuesday, falling 17-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Rapides suffered a grim 23-17 defeat to Georgetown in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Rapides avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
