It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but High Tech SD had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-1  victory over the Fillmore Flashes. The  win was nothing new for the Storm as they're now sitting on five straight.
 Devon Caris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has become a key player for High Tech SD: the team is 12-3 when he allows at  most  three  earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise.
 At the plate,  Nano Acevedo was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.
High Tech SD's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 17-10. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fillmore, they moved to 15-18 with that  loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
As of now, neither High Tech SD nor the Flashes have any future games scheduled.
