Crater entered their tilt with Pleasant Valley on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Pleasant Valley Vikings with a 59-55 win. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 25th in Oregon, while the Vikings are ranked 829th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Anthony Sanchez and Keith Thompson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.
