Preview: Antelope Rams vs. Salome Frogs
The Antelope Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Salome Frogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
After a string of three wins, Antelope's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. The game between Antelope and Anthem Prep wasn't particularly close, with Antelope falling 68-53.
The losing side was boosted by Kenan Ragels, who scored 28 points along with six assists and three steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alizay Figueroa, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Salome posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 66-30 win over San Pasqual Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Salome has posted against San Pasqual Valley since December 16, 2021.
Antelope's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Salome, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7.
Antelope strolled past Salome when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 63-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Antelope since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
