Volleyball Recap: Saraland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Saraland was the 2-0 winner over Homewood when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Patriots on Thursday.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 27-25.

Charli Pearce paced Saraland's offense, picking up five kills. Pearce really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with ten. Bryleigh Goff controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Saraland's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Homewood, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Saraland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Boyd-Buchanan on the 22nd. As for Homewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against McAdory on the 22nd.
