Basketball Game Preview: Bruce Randolph Grizzlies vs. The Pinnacle Timberwolves

Bruce Randolph saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Charles Huff, who posted 17 points and three steals. Bruce Randolph is 3-1 when Huff posts three or more steals, but 4-13 otherwise. Issac Varlea was another key player, en route to 16 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, everything went The Pinnacle's way against Kennedy on Tuesday as The Pinnacle made off with a 60-34 win. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Bruce Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for The Pinnacle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Bruce Randolph beat The Pinnacle 41-31 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Bruce Randolph repeat their success, or does The Pinnacle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
