Basketball Recap: Frazier Comes Up Short

Frazier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Jeannette Jayhawks, falling 68-35. While losing is never fun, the Commodores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 659th, while the Jayhawks are ranked 152nd).

When it comes to explaining why Frazier lost, don't look at Trey Whitehead. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. That's the most points Whitehead has posted since back in December of 2023.

Frazier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Jeannette, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Frazier will host Springdale at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Jeannette, they and Clairton will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
