Softball Recap: Southern Christian Takes a Loss

Southern Christian fell victim to Bessemer Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Rebels, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Southern Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Journee McKee, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Southern Christian's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Bessemer Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Southern Christian will take on Evangel Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bessemer Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
