Soccer Game Preview: Timber Creek vs. Cypress Creek

The Timber Creek Wolves will challenge the Cypress Creek Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Cypress Creek is hoping to do what Harmony couldn't on Wednesday: put an end to Timber Creek's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Timber Creek blew past Harmony 7-1. Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Harmony from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Tagg Lanusse led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Creek). They put the hurt on Oak Ridge with a sharp 5-1 win on Wednesday. The score was close at the half, but the Bears pulled away in the second half with four goals.

Timber Creek's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Cypress Creek, their win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10-1.
