Baseball Game Preview: Pillager Huskies vs. Kimball Cubs

Pillager is 0-3 against Kimball since May of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Huskies will welcome the Cubs at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pillager took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sebeka, sneaking past 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

Kaden Imdieke and Elliott Imdieke made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Imdieke tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Elliott struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off nine hits. At the plate, Imdieke scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Elliott went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grant Grimsley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Kimball beat Spectrum 6-1 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cubs.

The victory got Pillager back to even at 1-1. As for Kimball, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
