Softball Recap: Lindblom Eagles vs. Kenwood Broncos
Lindblom won against Kenwood last Monday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Eagles beat the Broncos by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Madeline Marquez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Marquez was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Simone Bishop, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Ky'Mora Bell, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
