Volleyball Game Preview: Mullins Marion Christian Cavaliers vs. Liberty Christian Academy Knights

After both having extra time off, the Mullins Marion Christian Cavaliers and the Liberty Christian Academy Knights will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mullins Marion Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Maranatha Christian just ended the team's three-match winning streak last Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-18.

Liberty Christian Academy not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 31, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Columbus Christian Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Pacers: they've now won three in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Columbus Christian Academy scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Mullins Marion Christian better focus on containing Moriah Gist and Kelsey Ellington as the pair were huge in Liberty Christian Academy's win. Gist had eight digs and seven aces, while Ellington had three digs, two aces, and one block. Those seven aces gave Gist a new career-high.

Liberty Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Liberty Christian Academy's record is now 2-6. As for Mullins Marion Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
