Culver Academies is 9-1 against Tippecanoe Valley since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will take on the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Culver Academies will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Culver Academies is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 23-1 margin over La Lumiere on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.
Foster Stockton and Preston Jessen made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Stockton tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jessen tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stockton has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Stockton got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and two RBI, while Jessen got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Jessen a new career-high.

In other batting news, Culver Academies got a massive performance out of Tommy Kelley, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave Kelley a new career-high. Cole Meiser also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Culver Academies was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Tippecanoe Valley might've scored the first runs on Saturday, but it was Bremen who claimed the real prize. The Vikings lost 18-11 to the Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.
Tippecanoe Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Adamson, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Brylan Alderfer was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Tippecanoe Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Culver Academies, their record is now 7-1.
Tippecanoe Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Culver Academies has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Tippecanoe Valley, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Culver Academies' sizable advantage in that area, the Vikings will need to find a way to close that gap.
Culver Academies took their victory against Tippecanoe Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
