Soccer Recap: Alvarado Takes a Loss

Alvarado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Brownwood Lions, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 481st, while the Lions are ranked 222nd).

Alvarado's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Brownwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alvarado will head out to challenge Life Waxahachie at 5:00 p.m. on February 4th. Life Waxahachie will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Alvarado surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brownwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Fredericksburg at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Brownwood's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Fredericksburg's offense will have their work cut out for them.
