Depew scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coyle Bluejackets. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Carsen Hock had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 179 yards on only 13 carries for Coyle. Hock's longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. James Lackey helped out on the ground, rushing for 99 yards.

Depew's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Coyle, their record is now 4-1.

Looking ahead, Depew will take on Foyil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Coyle, they will challenge Olive at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
