Volleyball Game Preview: Alcott Wildcats vs. Chicago Academy Cougars

Alcott is 0-5 against Chicago Academy since August of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will square off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Chicago Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Alcott, who comes in off a win.

Alcott is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Rowe-Clark. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Chicago Academy had taken Disney II down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Cougars fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Chicago Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 25-21.

Chicago Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5-1. As for Alcott, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Alcott came up short against Chicago Academy when the teams last played on October 2nd, falling 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
