Softball Game Preview: North Webster Knights vs. Richwood Rams

North Webster is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Richwood a nine-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The North Webster Knights will look to defend their home field against the Richwood Rams at 5:30 p.m. North Webster will be strutting in after a victory while Richwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row dating back to last season, North Webster turned things around against Carroll on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 19-2 win. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Richwood lost 8-2 to Arcadia on Wednesday.

Richwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for North Webster, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Everything went North Webster's way against Richwood in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as North Webster made off with a 15-0 win. Will North Webster repeat their success, or does Richwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
