Basketball Game Preview: Creighton Bulldogs vs. Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades

The Creighton Bulldogs will head out to take on the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Creighton will head into Friday's contest after some sweet revenge against Bloomfield: Creighton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bloomfield, but still couldn't quite topple them. Creighton was the clear victor by a 48-25 margin over Bloomfield on Friday.

Meanwhile, Chambers/Wheeler Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Twin Loup on Tuesday, taking the game 56-47. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Renegades.

Creighton better keep an eye on Elijah Heinz. He was instrumental in Chambers/Wheeler Central's win, putting up 24 points. Beau Butterfield was another key player, posting 14 points.

The win got Chambers/Wheeler Central back to even at 5-5. As for Creighton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Creighton came up short against Chambers/Wheeler Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 50-44. Can Creighton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
