Recap: Scott Eagles vs. Campbell County Camels
It was a good run, but the Scott Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 73-61 to Campbell County. Scott has struggled against Campbell County recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Scott's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Giffen, who scored 13 points. Connor Griffin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Scott's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Campbell County, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Scott will take on Conner at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Conner has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 306 points over their last five contests. As for Campbell County, they will head out on the road to challenge Covington Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Covington Catholic is ranked 13th, while Campbell County is ranked 29th).
