Volleyball Recap: Piedra Vista Comes Up Short

Piedra Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Farmington Scorpions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Scorpions this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Farmington scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 26-28, 25-17, 25-21.

Piedra Vista's record now sits at 7-11. As for Farmington, with the victory, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Piedra Vista will square off against rival Volcano Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Farmington is set to face off against their familiar foe Rio Rancho at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
