Baseball Recap: Morley Stanwood Takes a Loss

Morley Stanwood managed to slip by Tri County Area the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mohawks lost 12-2 to the Vikings on Friday. The Mohawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Morley Stanwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Shick, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base was Shick's first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Morley Stanwood and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Tri County Area, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vikings beat Morley Stanwood by a score of 8-5 later that day.
