Basketball Recap: Blackville-Hilda Comes Up Short at Home Against Horse Creek Academy

Blackville-Hilda unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 52-45 to the Horse Creek Academy Stallions on Tuesday. The contest was a 18-18 toss-up at halftime, but the Fighting Hawks couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Blackville-Hilda still got an impressive performance from Messiah McFadden, who posted 23 points and five rebounds. Keshan Sincino was another key player, putting up four points and seven rebounds.

Horse Creek Academy found their leader in freshman Aidan Walls, who put up 15 points. Another player making a difference was Amaree Roberson, who had nine points.

Horse Creek Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Blackville-Hilda didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-62 loss against Wagener-Salley on the 13th. As for Horse Creek Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-56 defeat against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on the 13th.
