Football Game Preview: Bryan Vikings vs. Temple Wildcats + How To Watch

Bryan is 1-7 against Temple since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Vikings will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Bryan has given up an average of 41.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bryan lost 42-19 to Shoemaker on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Wolves are ranked 81st).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Temple, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Killeen 42-12. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Kangaroos: they've now won seven in a row.

Bryan better keep an eye on Cavalli Nealy. He was instrumental in Temple's win, rushing for 190 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Nealy's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 118 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Byron Crittendon, who rushed for 87 yards and two scores.

One reason for the win was Temple's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jason Bradford, Jamarion Carlton Carlton, and Mikah Boldon, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Killeen's side was Bradford, who picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

Temple's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-2. As for Bryan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
